Tips and Tricks for ROES

ROES Suddenly Giving you Problems?

If you’ve used ROES before and it’s suddenly giving you a problem like freezing or your thumbnails disappeared, go to the home page, look down in the bottom right grey area and you’ll find “diagnostic tools” click on that and some options will pop up.

  • Clear Preferences – will reset the window size and placement (so if you can’t find your thumbnails or your options pane got moved this will reset to default).
  • Clear Cache – This will help with the program freezing up on you or any strange happenings that may be occurring, this won’t effect your previous orders, or your checkout information.
  • Show Log: This is very helpful when you are having issues sending an order. Just copy the text in that window, paste it into a text file (notepad, wordpad something like that) then send it to us in an email.
  • About Window: this just shows some information about the program and the company that made it. We may need to know the version number but it’s very rare.

If non of these help solve your problem it’s sometimes best to uninstall the program and come back here and re-download. Don’t worry it should still keep your information and previous order history.

Order multiple prints or album pages in 1 click!

ROES allows you to select multiple items at once so a quick way to order 300 proof prints or all 15 spreads of your album is to first choose the size desired, then the quantity of each print (want 2 sets of proofs just type 2 into the quantity box before adding your first image). Then simply select all of the desired images either in the thumbnail window (by default this is the strip along the bottom) or you can have your images open in a separate window on your computer. Drag the selection into the center preview area and let go! ROES will pop up a prompt asking if you would like to add __ quantity of images with __ # of images selected. Click ok and you’re all done! You can view your cart (after it’s done loading all of your images) and make sure every image you wanted was added. If you selected too many, you can remove the ones you don’t want while viewing your cart by clicking the Delete button on each item.

Rearranging Album Pages

While ordering your spreads you realized you added them out of order. Go to view cart and you can click and drag the right hand item number that has 3 lines under it. Simple click and hold on that number then drag your spread or page in between the pages it’s supposed to go between and let go. You will see ROES automatically put the image there and renumber ALL of the items with there correct item number. Please also be sure your actual file names correspond to the page they go into the book so there is absolutely no confusion.
